Surfer’s Paradise 4Bed/6B Ocean Front Guest House

Introduction / Owners Welcome:

2005, we got married. “I want to build us a Guest House that runs on solar power on the best surf spot on the Island and entertain visitors to our Island”. In 2007 my husband retired, and his dream of having a “child”, building his solar home and surfing 100 times for the year, came true. Sadly, he passed away in 2009.

Now… we welcome you to Surfer’s Paradise Guest House located on the coastline of Grand Cayman in the Cayman Islands.

Property Description:

Our bedrooms have names relating to surfing terminology: Hardcore, Stoked, Green Room, Goofy-foot and Banks.

Surfer’s Paradise is a coastline property on the south-west corner of Grand Cayman, where it is ideal for surfing and adjacent to South Sound a reef protected seawater Sound.

On the elevated first floor you will find: a well equipped kitchen, living room and dining area in one open space; a media room/office (named Banks) with twin sized sofa bed and en-suite bathroom; a children’s bedroom (named Goofy-foot) with queen bed and en-suite bathroom; a laundry room; a balcony area, accessed from the living and kitchen areas, that overlooks the coastline, and leads to an east facing external covered deck with kitchen facilities, dining table for 8 persons, and a spacious casual seating area with external patio grade sofa and love seats for relaxing.

This deck leads to a private hot tub for 4 persons and to your own private infinity pool that blends in with the ocean. Stairs from this deck take you to your 200ft wide soft sand beach; and to the east side of the house a separate walled-in sandy children’s play area with play apparatus.

The second floor has 3 bedrooms and a second laundry room. The master bedroom (named Hardcore) has king bed and en-suite bathroom with sauna tub; the second bedroom (named Stoked), has queen bed and en-suite bathroom. Both these bedrooms have balconies overlooking the coastline. The third bedroom (named Green Room) has queen bed and en-suite bathroom and a partial ocean view. This floor leads upstairs to a multi-shelved library area and to an open roof deck area with side railings. Here you can relax and enjoy even more quiet time, and due to its height, view much of the Island.

All bedrooms and living room are equipped with flat screen TV’s and local cable TV channels. A DVD player is in the living room. Apple TV serves the living room and master bedroom. An Xbox is available in the children’s bedroom (named Goofy-foot). Please bring your own games. The media room/office (named Banks) has a single sofa bed and en-suite bathroom, an all-in-one Apple screen / computer and separate printer. (Paper and ink not provided).

If you are PLANNING A WEDDING in Grand Cayman, then this is the perfect venue for your beach wedding and reception. If you choose to rent the Guest house, our master bedroom (named Hardcore) is perfect for the Bride and Groom to stay a few nights and up to 6 other guests may stay over as well. Maximum number of wedding guests for reception is recommended at twenty (20) persons.

The property is a self-catering, fully furnished and centrally air-conditioned.

Ample on-site parking is available with some in the covered carports under the solar panels.

This Guest House is licensed by the Hotel Licensing Board with an ‘Excellent’ rating; is inspected annually by Department of Tourism, Fire Services and Environmental Health. Consequently, our rates are subject to collection of a Government Accommodation Tax, currently, 2018-02, at 13%, of the cost of your total accommodation charge. This is collected from guests after registering and invoicing and before your departure.
The property owner has a selection of beach equipment that guests may use including surf boards (2), paddleboards (2), and kayaks (2); as well as some snorkel gear and water shoes (recommend you bring your own). Please return such items to their initial place of storage and ensure they have been fresh water washed off and dried before storing.

Guest Access:

Guests have access to all habitable spaces throughout the property. Each bedroom has its own keyed entry. Patio doors to the exterior are also keyed. Please lock all exterior doors at night.

Other things to note:

The maximum occupancy for persons staying overnight is eight (8).

Please refer to our Pricing Table below for summer, winter and premium season one-time additional charges. A security deposit of US $2,500.00 is required for each booking. This deposit will be applied to a provided credit card at the commencement of your stay. Any damage charges that occur during your stay will be charged accordingly.

Check-out time is no later than 10:00 AM on the day of departure. On the day of arrival check–in time is not before 4:00 PM. It is necessary for guests to advise us, in advance, their flight arrival information [name of airline; flight number; scheduled arrival time].

Annie Multon will meet you at the property, at or after 4:00 PM, on your arrival day; show you around; get you settled in; and then let you enjoy your vacation and visit to Grand Cayman. Annie will be available by local phone or visit requests to answer your queries and resolve issues of concern.

Domestic cleaning service during your stay is available upon request and in advance by a selected private organisation at your expense. Please contact Annie for such arrangements.

Prior to your departure, Annie will conduct a property and contents condition inspection. Damaged or broken items will need to be identified by the guests and suitably replaced, with costs either deducted from the security deposit or charged to the credit card provided for the accommodation stay charge.

Annie will collect the Government Accommodation Tax, mentioned above. We will advise you of this expense in advance of your arrival, after the intended stay has been confirmed.

The Neighbourhood: Overview.

Our location is: 978 South Church Street, George Town, Grand Cayman. South Church Street and the community of South Sound is a traditional Caymanian upscale residential area close to George Town. Surfer’s Paradise is conveniently located, close to all places of importance. The guesthouse is a 10-20 min drive, depending upon traffic conditions, from the airport as well as to hospitals, supermarkets, gas stations, liquor stores, duty free shopping, spas, dive shops and 7 Mile beach corridor.

Getting around:

We recommend picking up your rental car on arrival to the island from car rental organisations located close to the Airport; usually a 2-3 min. walk from the terminal building. It’s best to pre-book, using website rates, well in advance of your arrival. Surfer’s Paradise is located on a local bus route. Taxi’s also serve this locality.
